Long Over-Due update!

So I know I have been lacking. Slap me on the hand and move on. :)

Since my last post, there is a lot to comment on.

March was Allan's sister, Lauren's wedding in Philadelphia. It was a weekend full of history, partying, alcohol and wedded bliss for Lauren and Vlad. The wedding was at the Union League of Philadelphia, which was conveniently close to the liberty bell and the constitution building. April Allan and I went on a cruise to the Bahamas for a long weekend. It was a great time once we got through the two flights, taxi ride and motion sickness (poor Allan) to get there. Needless to say, our first night on the ship we went to bed VERY early. (8pm to be exact).


This month, today to be exact, Allan and I had our engagement pictures taken by the one and only Molly Feit. She is a fabulous photographer originally from California. We also met with Cathy, the lovely woman who is making our cupcake display. She showed us a "prototype" of our top tier 6" cake and the cupcakes for the display. (see my "it's a keak-e" post from a few months ago for a picture). The cake was delicious! It's Dulce De Leche with buttercream filling and fondant on the outside.

Our invitations are also in process. Our stationer has been working on a digital mock-up of our invitation "packet". We should receive that within the next few weeks so we can approve the design and text, then send it to be printed.

The bridal shower is also now in the works. My maid of honor, Lauren, has been working on it with her mother and the other bridesmaids with occasional aid from Allan. We all decided that my shower would be a surprise for me. I have no idea when and were this shower will be, hopefully I will wear something nice that day. haha.
